Hi! It’s great to meet you.

I’m Katherine, a queer Filipina immigrant with over 15 years of experience crafting strategies for both global brands and local giants, and a career spanning the US, Singapore, and Manila. My diverse experience makes me passionate about bringing an outsider perspective to business and brand questions. I specialize in finding emerging tensions, insights, and opportunities that take advantage of both how the world is changing and the increasing resonance of previously-overlooked voices.

I’ve been lucky to handle a variety of projects that cross categories, scale, markets, and clients. I’ve worked on everything from trends in China for Disney to the future of potato chips! I have extensive experience in food and beverage (Kelloggs, Del Monte, Liquid IV, Knorr, Zespri, Toblerone), healthcare (GSK, J&J, CVS), beauty (PONDS, Lux, Aveeno, Le Labo, Shiseido, Dior), alcohol (Diageo, Heineken), tech and entertainment (Disney, Netflix, WeTransfer, Globe Telecom, Meta), tobacco (Philip Morris), and more.

As part of my advocacy to bring future-facing thinking to strategic issues, I’m part of RADAR, a decentralized global collective of 300+ researchers, early adopters, and innovators accelerating better futures. I’m currently a Research Contributor for their ongoing project exploring how the accelerating convergence of human-like technologies with mankind is going to shape the future.

In my free time, you can find me reading fantasy and sci-fi. For me, the best novels are those that combine logic with lateral thinking—those stories set in worlds completely different from the “real” world, but with believable, coherent, and logical systems underpinning them. Some favorite reads: Babel by R.F. Kuang, Every Heart a Doorway by Shannon McGuire, and the Discworld series by Terry Pratchett.

These exercises in imagination inform my own world-building. Looking at emerging cultural shifts can often feel frustratingly intangible, but fiction is a never-ending source of inspiration for turning challenging work into concrete, actionable insights.
